In Loving Memory...

Sue Baker, 77, passed from this life Oct. 17, 2011. She resided in Whitehouse at the time of her death.

Born in Goree on June 14, 1934, to the late Jerry and Roberta Hudson, she was the youngest of eight siblings. Sue married Boyd Baker in October of 1955. She was an active member of the Church of Christ in Whitehouse for more than 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shellie and Steve Arnold of Whitehouse, daughter and son-in-law, Robbie and Lloyd Dunn of San Antonio; and her grandchildren, Amy and David Goins of Little Rock, Ark., Steven Arnold of Santa Monica, Calif., Kylie Dunn of Denton, and Macie Dunn of San Antonio; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Her passion in life was teaching children, whether in Bible class, Girl Scouts or serving at Medina Children's Home. She was a friend to and advocate for children of all ages.

Memorial services will be held at the Whitehouse Church of Christ on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sapphire School, 835 Isom, San Antonio, 78216; East Texas Christian Academy, 2448 Roy Road, Tyler, 75707; or Arms of Hope (formerly Medina Children's Home), 21300 Texas Highway 16 N., Medina, 78055.
